Exodus 14. Crossing the Red Sea.
Read Exodus 14:19-30 and1 Corinthians 10:1-4. Explain in writing how the children of Israel were symbolically saved by water and fire.
After reading and studying the scriptures I found in 1 Corinthians 10:1-4 that it talks about how the children of Israel were
baptized by passing through the water in the Red Sea. Everyone must be
baptized in order to return to our Heavenly Father; therefore He made it possible
for the children of Israel to return to Him. In Corinthians it is written that the pillar was a way that the Lord baptized his people by
fire. I believe strongly that by symbolically baptizing the children of Israel that God was saving them with the water and fire. To truly be clean and create the baptismal covenant you must be born of water and fire, this was Heavenly Father's
way to truly make a new life and heritage for the children of Israel.
With baptism of fire they now have the holy ghost with them. The children of Israel were "baptized" with the water and "received the Holy Ghost" with the burning sensation of fire.
